Vaaldriehoektak - Vaaltriangle Branch

Die Vaaldriehoektak bedien hoofsaaklik ‘n streek wat Henley-on-Klip, Meyerton, Vereeniging, Vanderbijlpark, Sasolburg en Parys, met hul omliggende gebiede, insluit maar verwelkom ook lede van ander takke en nie-lede by ons aktiwiteite.
Sedert takstigting op 25 Oktober 1994 toe 53 lede aangesluit het, het die tak hom be-ywer vir diens aan sy lede met die gevolg dat daar vandag sowat 900 opbetaalde lede op ons ledelys verskyn.
Die tak glo dat etiese jag, opleiding en volgehoue skietoefeninge vereis, en tans bied die tak sowat twintig skietdae per jaar aan, verskeie opleidingskursusse wat insluit senior en junior jagskole vir toegewyde jagter en bekwame jagter status, toegewyde sportskiet status, baanbeampte status, herlaai van ammunissie en ander jagverwante kursusse.
On the social side, monthly members meetings where speakers are invited to address the members on various hunting related subjects are held together with an annual prize giving function which normally takes the form of a dinner/dance.
An annual Rock Pigeon shoot during March each year is one of the highlights of the social and shooting calendar attracting some 100 guns from our area and the surrounding areas.
Since inception, the Vaal Triangle Branch has encouraged its members to bring in their trophies for recording and the annual trophy registration during September provides members with the opportunity to have their hunting trophies measured. Qualifying trophies are recorded in both the register of the Association and our local register which currently carries some 300 entries spread over some 30 species.
These activities are organized by a dedicated branch committee which, over the years, has grown from eight to twelve members, most of whom have served the Branch loyally for two or more terms of office.

Opleiding
Persone wat belangstel in opleiding vir Intreejagterkursus (Toegewyde Jagterkursus) en Toegewyde Sportskut moet die takkantoor skakel sodat hul name op ‘n lys geplaas kan word.

Activities
The branch shooting days are well underway. It is encouraging to have so many juniors attending our shooting days.

Training
Members interested in training for dedicated hunter status and sport shooter status, can contact the branch office to have their names added to the waiting list.

15 Karee trees will be planted at Rooikraal shooting range.

R20.00 donation per entry from the Regional Shoot in April will be contributed towards the K9 Dog unit of Kruger National Park.
